AUSTRALIA, 12 MARCH — One of the AFL’s greatest players, Scott Pendlebury is inviting Australians to follow his health journey in a new four-part documentary series in partnership with preventative health provider, Everlab.

Beyond The Game: A Health Optimisation Journey tracks Pendlebury as he applies the same discipline he brings to elite sport to planning his long-term health. At the peak of an extraordinary career, he is asking a question many people postpone: “What do I want the next 30 years to feel like?”

Viewers follow Pendlebury through Everlab’s preventative health program, where he undergoes advanced diagnostics - from blood tests and DEXA scans to VO₂ max, physical, and nutritional assessments - all analysed against decades of medical data to identify early risk markers. Everlab doctors then translate these insights into a personalised prevention and treatment plan, helping him stay ahead of potential health issues.

After a career surrounded by performance data, medical teams, and health protocols, the documentary shows Pendlebury applying the same approach to his long-term health. By making the insights and optimisation tools AFL players use throughout their careers available to Australians, Everlab demonstrates what’s possible when you have the knowledge to approach the years ahead with clarity and confidence.

The series isn’t just about tests and numbers. It shows how one of AFL’s greatest players is planning for the decades ahead - preventing disease, improving his wellbeing, and making the most of life’s quality moments with family and pursuing his personal goals.

“After 21 seasons, I know what it feels like to be at my peak, and my goal is to carry that energy into the next 30 years,” Pendlebury said. “Everlab has helped me better understand, improve, and maintain my long-term health - for myself, my family, and my future.”

“Scott’s journey shows exactly what preventative health can look like in practice,” said Dr Steven Lu, Chief Medical Officer of Everlab. “By applying the same diagnostics, insights, and proactive strategies used by elite athletes, we’re here to help Australians take control of their long-term health - showing how early action can help prevent disease, support wellbeing, and give people more quality time.”

Episode one premieres on Friday, 13 March at 9:00am AEDT, with the remaining episodes releasing every other Wednesday at 6:00 pm AEDT from 25 March onward. The series will be available on Everlab’s YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn channels, with the trailer available to watch here.

The series builds on Everlab’s two-year partnership with the AFL Players Association, which provides AFLPA members, including Pendlebury, access to advanced diagnostics, digital-first doctor consultations, intelligent health insights, and personalised, preventative healthcare programs.
