Investing in your long-term longevity requires precise, clinical-grade data. With comprehensive health scan imaging, you can proactively help identify cardiovascular, metabolic, or structural conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed until symptoms develop.
At Everlab, our advanced health scan imaging protocols are designed to provide a thorough picture of your physical health. By replacing uncertainty with objective diagnostic data, we help identify risks early, support your future wellbeing, and ensure you receive a personalised health protocol tailored to your unique biology.
What does comprehensive health scan imaging include?
True preventative care requires looking beneath the surface. The Everlab health scan imaging system uses clinical-grade diagnostic tools to map your internal biology. This lets us evaluate the critical systems that govern your daily performance and long-term longevity:
Heart health imaging: Available as part of our add-on diagnostics, we use a CT coronary angiogram (CTCA), a widely recognised method for assessing coronary artery disease (RANZCR Cardiac CT Guidelines). This uses X-rays to create detailed images of heart arteries to help identify plaque build-up that may contribute to cardiovascular events. We also measure your CT Calcium Score, a non-invasive heart scan that uses specialised X-rays to measure the amount of calcified plaque in your coronary arteries. The Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA) has shown that coronary artery calcium scoring is a strong predictor of future cardiovascular events (Detrano et al., NEJM 2008).
Cancer screening and full body imaging: We use a Full Body MRI, which uses a magnet and radio waves to create detailed internal body images, helping to identify abnormalities that may warrant further investigation. This is paired with an ultra-low radiation CT chest scan, which captures highly detailed images of your lungs without the need for contrast dye. This specialised low-dose CT scan (LDCT) is supported by the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST), which demonstrated a 20% reduction in lung cancer mortality among high-risk individuals screened with LDCT compared to chest radiography (NLST Research Team, NEJM 2011). It is designed to help identify early-stage lung cancer and other pulmonary conditions in at-risk individuals before symptoms appear, when clinical intervention may be most effective.
Body composition and bone health: Using clinical-grade DEXA scanning, recognised by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) as the reference standard for bone density measurement (ISCD Official Positions), we evaluate your total lean mass. This calculates the weight of muscles, bones, organs, and fluids excluding fat, reflecting your body composition and physical health. We measure femoral neck densities to assess bone density in the hip to evaluate the risk of hip fractures, an important marker for bone health. We also assess multi-level lumbar spine densities to measure bone density in your lower back to help identify bone loss and osteoporosis risk. Furthermore, we evaluate your estimated VAT mass to assess visceral fat around internal organs, which is associated with increased risk for conditions like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease (Healthdirect: Visceral Fat).
Everlab Insight: Chronic disease develops gradually over time. We use comprehensive imaging data alongside clinical assessment to help identify health risks early and support your wellbeing before preventable events occur.
Why proactive medical imaging matters
Proactive, specialised screening provides a comprehensive view of your internal health, helping to identify conditions that may not yet be causing symptoms. By using clinical-grade imaging, you gain immediate, actionable data about your most vital systems. For example, a CTCA can help identify arterial plaque build-up and assess cardiovascular risk before you experience any physical symptoms, giving you a head start on supporting your heart health.
Beyond cardiovascular insights, comprehensive imaging is important for supporting your structural longevity. Early DEXA screening provides precise measurements of your total body bone mineral content, helping to assess both density and strength. This level of detail can highlight early indicators of bone density loss or osteoporosis risk, supporting you to take targeted, preventative action to preserve your skeletal framework and maintain your physical independence.
Health scan imaging is ultimately about validating and actioning your personal longevity goals. By mapping your internal biology with advanced technology, we establish a precise baseline of your current physical state. This clinical-grade data provides the insights needed to support your daily performance and long-term health.
Understanding your health scan imaging results
Because imaging results require a deep understanding of your unique physiology, Everlab doctors review your data as part of your complete health profile. Here is a look at a few critical metrics we track, based on Everlab's clinical diagnostic standards:
Everlab Insight: Routine check-ups may not assess bone health in detail until a fracture occurs. Clinically, early indicators of bone density change benefit from proactive monitoring and intervention. We look for optimal structural integrity, not just the absence of a break.

Imaging limitations disclaimer: Diagnostic imaging has inherent limitations. No scan can guarantee the detection of all conditions. Results should be interpreted by a qualified medical practitioner in the context of your overall clinical picture. False positives and incidental findings may occur and can require additional follow-up testing.
Regulatory disclaimer: Everlab's imaging services are provided through accredited partner radiology clinics. All imaging is performed under the supervision of qualified radiologists and in accordance with Australian diagnostic imaging standards. Scans discussed on this page are used as part of a clinical assessment and are not a substitute for ongoing medical care with your general practitioner or specialist.
Why should you get a health scan imaging
Getting these scans done allows you to identify "silent" health risks such as arterial plaque, bone density loss, or early-stage abnormalities before they manifest as symptoms or medical emergencies. By establishing a precise biological baseline, you move from reactive care to a proactive strategy, enabling targeted interventions that support long-term physical performance and skeletal health.
