HealthScreen vs Everlab: Which Health Check Service is Right for You?
Everlab and HealthScreen are two leading providers in Australia offering health insights through advanced testing. Here’s how they compare.

Traditional check-ups in Australia were once limited to basic tests focused on diagnosing existing conditions. Both HealthScreen and Everlab represent a new generation of preventive health testing, using advanced diagnostics and data-driven insights to detect issues early and personalise your care. Today, we compare HealthScreen vs Everlab to determine how these two leading providers differ in their approach to preventive health, diagnostic testing, and personalised care.
A health check, also known as a health screening or medical check-up, is a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s overall health and wellbeing. It involves a series of tests, examinations, and evaluations designed to identify potential health risks and detect any underlying medical conditions. Health checks can be tailored to an individual’s specific needs, age, and health status, and are usually performed by a healthcare professional. These assessments often include blood tests, medical imaging, genetic testing, and physical exams, providing a thorough overview of one’s health.
Regular health checks offer numerous benefits that can significantly impact your long-term health and wellbeing.
Some of the key advantages include:
HealthScreen is a medical facility that utilises screening technology to deliver a comprehensive and integrated health check to individuals in Melbourne.
Everlab is a med-tech and preventative health company established in 2022 nation wide across Australia. Everlab specialises in providing technology driven preventative health assessments direct to consumers, businesses and corporates.
This blog will focus on analogous product tiers between the two companies - the Everlab Protocol and the HealthScreen Assessment.

By understanding the offerings of these two health check providers, you can make a more informed decision about which service best meets your health needs. Whether you prioritise comprehensive assessments, advanced medical imaging, or personalised health advice, both Everlab and HealthScreen provide valuable options for maintaining and improving your health.
While both HealthScreen and Everlab offer a variety of essential blood tests, Everlab provides a slightly more comprehensive suite of tests. This stems from their preventative approach, focusing on identifying key health trends over time rather than simply providing a snapshot of your current health today.
A HealthScreen health check includes a physical exam of your body and a melanoma check, but does not assess your physical capabilities i.e. strength, endurance, stability etc.
Everlab on the other hand provides a comprehensive physical assessment with a greater focus on your longevity. Testing indexes on your strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness, including:
With a primary focus on longevity, Everlab’s physical assessment targets your high-risk areas, emphasising the detection of risks associated with the top five chronic diseases.
Everlab's check includes a DEXA body composition and bone density scan conducted at our partner facilities.
HealthScreen offers body composition analysis scans only, and is an add on cost of $120.
Diet and lifestyle factors such as stress and sleep are often the leading cause of your medical risks and are pivotal elements of an effective health check. Both HealthScreen and Everlab conduct nutritional assessments to identify any major issues. However, HealthScreen’s nutritional assessment is an add-on for $200, whereas Everlab’s review is included within the main protocol.
Everlab combines all your diagnostics, personal or family history, and past health records to make comprehensive assessments about your health. The main difference between the two nutritional and lifestyle assessments is how the information is used with all the other diagnostics. HealthScreen focuses on your health today and looks at all your information at 2 points in time (initial and optional follow-up consultations).
Everlab on the other hand combines all your diagnostics, family history and past health records to make assessments about not only your health today, but what you may be at risk of in the future. The lifestyle and nutritional assessment is one component that feeds into this.
Both Everlab and HealthScreen offer optional additional tests that can be purchased on an ad hoc basis, allowing you to tailor the health check to your specific needs or concerns.

After the initial medical consultation, testing and screening, the physician will determine the number of follow-up consultations based on your results. Then, a written report will be provided to your doctor with a description of the results.
The report includes detailed results of all screening tests conducted during the health check and you will receive a copy of it as well.
Everlab displays the results of their health checks via their web and mobile application.
This application includes a user-friendly interface designed to store, display, and interpret all your health check results and recommendations.
This is essentially your one-stop shop for all your medical data and the definitive source for what you need to do to reduce your risk of disease.
Additionally, the Everlab app displays every biomarker tested, with a clear benchmark for how your result ranks for your age/gender, and what level of risk it coincides with.

The app is also where you will find your pathology reports (past and present), upcoming appointments and recordings of your sessions with every clinician for easy reference if need be.
The time and cost investment varies depending on the program selected.

Everlab also offers deposit pricing. This means you can pay 10% of the price ($299) to start your health check and if you find it’s not for you, then you can opt out with no further charge.
